Technical and 5K at Wyandotte Boat Club

Sunday, July 20

10k race circumnavigating Belle Isle

Start and Finish at Belle Isle Beach

7:30AM - 8:30AM  Racers packet pickup at the beach, start numbers marking

8:30AM  Race Safety Meeting - mandatory for all participants!

9:00AM Race Start

All crafts will be starting from water. Direction of race is clockwise 

Start pointing East/upstream direction (perpendicular to the beach)

LINE UP

FIRST LINE - ALL SIT DOWN CRAFTS (Surfski, Kayak, OC) 

SECOND LINE - ALL SUP and PRONES

RACE DISTANCE is estimated 6.7 miles 

FINISH CUT OFF is 11:00 AM. 2 hours (120 minutes) time limit to complete the course.

FINISH on the beach - run thought finish line with your paddle.

12PM - Results and Awards

AWARDS for each category with at least 3 participants

CASH PRIZE for BEATING COURSE RECORDS in all 4 individual categories 

(SUP, SurfSki/Kayak, OC1/Canoe and Prone)

Severe Weather & Safety Provision 

ALL Participants must know how to swim and follow all State & Race Safety rules!

Organizers reserve the right to delay start, shorten, or interrupt the race in progress and/or cancel the event due to safety conditions including but not limited to severe weather  thunderstorms, lightning or extreme wind
