The season opening 17th Annual Narrow River Race is rescheduled for April 12, 2025. Hosted by Tim Dwyer, this approximately 8 mile race on Rhode Island's scenic Narrow River is a great gauge of your early-season mettle. With protected waters, the race is suitable for most paddlers. Although primarily for surfskis, other craft (SUP, Outrigger, rowing shells) are encouraged to participate.
There is no registration fee for this race!! But we would appreciate it if you register online a week in advance to help us in planning. This
race is part of the SurfskiRacing.com point series. So here's your first chance to get some points on the board!
We're hoping Epic Kayaks will continue their support by providing swag to be given away or raffled off for this race. Over the years Epic has donated countless wing paddles to be raffled off along with hats, shirts and rash guards! Fingers crossed for this year.
Here's a link to the course map. Paddlers will meet at the Narrow River Fishing Access parking lot, located at the end of Pollock Avenue in South Kingston, Rhode Island.
