"Oceans 7" is a fun race for prone paddlers and is one of the official events of the International Surf Festival. The 3rd annual Oceans 7 race will start and finish at Torrance Beach. Paddlers will start the race in the water and sprint North towards the Hermosa Beach Pier. Once paddlers reach the pier they will round a buoy near the end of the pier and make their way back to Torrance beach for a sandy beach finish and delicious breakfast burritos from Oceans Cafe and Grill!!

Lake Tahoe Downwind Championship. The Kaspian Downwinder is a classic 9-mile (15km) downwind run for the Team Tahoe Waterman crew whenever the wind allows. The event also caters to beginner and intermediate paddlers with a 3-mile (5km) race course. The lake has a big fetch with afternoon high winds, an excellent combination for riding bumps and gliding across the pristine crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe.
